Shortly after the unexpected release of her latest album Harlequin, which we talked about here, Lady Gaga announces Disease, her new single coming out on October 25.
Lady Gaga’s Disease: What do we know?
Lady Gaga revealed the upcoming single after her label Universal Music activated pre-saves for Disease last night. Fans had already speculated that this could be the title of her new project after noticing changes in the titles of some of her songs on streaming platforms, where uppercase and lowercase letters had been altered. The first letters of seven songs formed the word Disease.
Moreover, Gaga posted a playlist on her Spotify profile, arranging the tracks to spell out Gaga Disease. Those who then visited gagadisease.com were directed to a series of websites that appeared to reveal some lyrics from the song.
Previously, Gaga had already hinted that the first single from her seventh album would be released in October. In September, she shared an itinerary that stated, "XX October: LG7 first single," alongside other significant dates from her promotional tour for the film Joker: Folie à Deux.
Gaga is still riding high on the success of Die With a Smile, her duet with Bruno Mars released in August which entered the Hot 100 at number 3 and accumulated hundreds of millions of streams and radio plays.
