Miley Cyrus’ new song Beautiful That Way, written and recorded for Gia Coppola’s highly anticipated movie The Last Showgirl, is receiving widespread attention as it accompanies the film’s European release. The movie is now available in all US theaters and will be out in Europe next month.

While the soundtrack was released in December, only now fans can link it to the movie's plot. The movie is, in fact, now available in the US and will soon be released in Europe. Miley's Golden Globe nomination for Best Original Song – Motion Picture marks a significant moment for her, who was recognized for her work alongside co-creators Lykke Li and Andrew Wyatt. “It’s an honor to be nominated for Best Original Song alongside my friends and collaborators Andrew Wyatt and Lykke Li at the Golden Globes & Critics Choice Awards”, she wrote on Instagram, sharing her excitement about the recognition.
The track, described by Miley as “old-fashioned”, taps into nostalgic emotions. Reflecting on the song’s inspiration, Cyrus shared that the song was deeply personal. “Pamela [Anderson] is deeply embedded into my earliest memories with my mother”, she explained to Variety. “We both worshipped Pam and still do. I thought a lot about what this film means to her—not just as an actress but as the special person that she is”.
International fans will have to wait just a few more days to watch the movie. Pamela plays Shelly, a Las Vegas dancer at a crossroads who is facing uncertainty as the long-running show she stars in nears its end. The actress, also nominated for a Golden Globe, thanked Miley and the other collaborators for their efforts, noting: "It is never too late to dream, to start again, to stay open to possibilities".
