Willow Smith's Grammy nominations and Empathogen's unique sound
Our opinion on music awards is not a secret: we do not believe that they are necessarily synonym of quality but in some cases they are, and Willow is one of these cases. Her artistic journey has been inspiring to watch, starting from her debut Whip My Hair when she was about to turn 10 years old. She was just a kid but her innate talent and unique voice already felt touchable. Her latest work Empathogen continues this legacy. It blends pop, rock, punk and electronic elements into a unique sound that is entirely her own. Willow knows a lot about music and this shows a lot in this heterogeneous album.
Willow Smith's Grammy nomination places her among a talented musical family: her father Will Smith has previously won multiple Grammys and her brother Jaden was nominated for his contribution to Justin Bieber's latest album Justice. These Grammy nominations marks Willow's evolution from a young prodigy to a mature artist with a distinct and original sound.
